Privacy policy

Last updated October 25, 2026

Jotreel is a Chrome extension that transcribes the video playing in a browser tab you choose and turns the transcript into study notes, flashcards, and translations. This policy explains what data Jotreel handles, why, and what control you have.

What stays on your computer

Transcripts, notes, flashcards, translations, folders, and settings are saved in your browser's extension storage on your device. They are not uploaded to Jotreel's servers, except for the moments described above when you ask Jotreel to process text. Removing the extension deletes this data from your browser.

We use your Google account information only to provide sign-in and your account. We don't transfer it to others except as needed to run the service, don't use it for advertising, and don't let humans read it except with your permission, for security, or to comply with the law.
